After graduating in 1984 from the University of Toronto I practiced in Aurora and Thornbury before moving to Port Elgin. I am a father of four and can commonly be found around town taking my youngest to sporting events. I am interested in all aspects of dentistry, but especially implants, dentures, endodontics and aesthetics. My dental philosophies would include practicality, respect, efficiency, control of pain and replication of art.

After graduating in 1993 from the University of Leeds in England I worked in the Yorkshire Dales for two years. A colleague then offered me an opportunity for adventure in Yellowknife, my wife and I, along with our two young children, decided we would try Canada out for one year, the rest is history.
Dentistry is constantly evolving and it has always been exciting to continually update my skills with continuing education courses along with keeping a critical eye on new technologies and treatments. My philosophy during the past 24 years of practice is to truly listen to my patients concerns so we can develop a treatment plan that addresses both their oral health and emotional needs. I believe receiving dental procedures should be a positive, comfortable experience and be carried out with kindness. I chose to work in the community I live so I can continue to enjoy the long term relationships that develop with patients along with the mutual trust and respect we develop for one another. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of clinical practice and the constant technological advancements that enable us to achieve happy healthy smiles that were once unattainable.

I grew up in Port Elgin and returned to the area after graduating from Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the University of Western Ontario in 2006. I truly enjoy all aspects of dentistry and like the variety general dentistry provides. My goal is to be gentle and make my patients as comfortable as possible as I know the dental chair is not most people’s favourite place. My philosophy is that we (you, myself and the rest of our staff) act as a team, working together to achieve your optimal oral health. I like to provide you with the information and options that will allow you to make the best choices for you to achieve your dental goals, whatever they may be. When not at the office, I enjoy family time with my daughter, son and husband, watching my children at the arena in figure skating and hockey, at the soccer field or swimming pool and enjoy snowboarding as a family at Blue Mountain.
